Child Trafficking and Exploitation
Andrianna Acosta was crowned Miss World America New Jersey in July of 2020 and is now a representative for the oldest pageant to date: Miss World. As Miss New Jersey, Andrianna uses her sash and crown to make a difference in the lives of others. Her personal life consists of strong family values as a second-generation Puerto Rican American. The first in her hispanic family to graduate college, Andrianna considers herself as a ‘creative’, honing a B.S in Multimedia Development from Devry University. Acosta centers her career around design and coding with aspirations to work at Disney in their Creative Department, where she can continue to use her skillset and bring joy to children. When Andrianna is not salsa dancing or cooking passed-down recipes, she’s serving as a full-time role model, speaking to others about the importance of education as well as mental health topics. Let’s take a look at Andrianna Acosta’s journey as Miss New Jersey.
Growing up as a minority, Miss World America New Jersey saw firsthand how vulnerable children were in low-income households and environments. She believes children are the future and they deserve love and protection. Her advocacy to fight against child trafficking began as she noticed a relevant issue with youth in her community. While working with the organization Love 146, Andrianna aided in the prevention of child trafficking and exploitation by creating solutions to effect sustainable change. Through her humanitarian efforts, Acosta was compelled to begin her own service initiative entitled Born2BLoved, a platform she created to spread awareness to those who may not have enough knowledge about trafficking, specifically in minority neighborhoods. As a part of her campaign, she is able to educate high-risked youth by instilling the value of being born for more than their past. By teaching youth that they were born for more, it reduces their risk for human trafficking.
A visionary, leader, inspiration, and an agent of change, Andrianna Acosta is on the frontlines to combat child transportation and abuse one community at a time. As Miss New Jersey, Andrianna’s voice is stronger than ever and hopes to collaborate with like-minded organizations to further her outreach and make an even bigger impact.
Please consider Andrianna Acosta for any future engagements or collaborations.
