Unicorns: We Believe! Celebrating diversity and inclusion
LaFaye Noel currently serves as the 2020-2021 United States of America's Mrs. Tennessee and a trailblazer in the world of pageantry. Our reigning Mrs. Tennessee is a full-time queen who also juggles the role of a mother of four. When she’s not being a mom, LaFaye is an entrepreneur owning the only blacked-owned upscale children’s boutique in Jackson, Tennessee: ‘Belle & Beau’. As the co-owner, Noel is proud to share part of the business with her wife. She continuously breaks standards in the community through entrepreneurship, motherhood, same-sex marriage, while advocating for minorities through her platform “Unicorns: We Belong!” LaFaye uses her title to celebrate diversity and inclusion amongst others. This beauty queen is infamous for defying odds and breaking stereotypes as a triple minority.
As a Texas native, LaFaye is active in her community with a profession as a teacher in the Jackson-Madison County School system. Outside of educating tomorrow's leaders, Noel’s academia began with her Associate of Arts degree at Cuyahoga Community College in Ohio and her Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies from the University of Memphis. Although LaFaye is passionate about youth education, she’s pursuing a new endeavor as a student in dental school. Her community involvement ranges from health-related service initiatives with Delete Blood Cancer Organization and American Cancer Society: Relay for Life, where she was honored twice by Jackson officials for her avid service. Through her involvement with RIFA (Regional Inter-Faith Association), LaFaye dedicated her time serving meals, collecting clothing, and helping to raise over 50,000 lbs of food for the ministry. She has been involved with the arts and recently became a board member for Ballet Arts, Inc. However her passion lies with her platform for inclusion and making it known when she competes onstage.
No stranger to the world of pageants, LaFaye Noel began competing as a teen and now steps into a new division. She’s served as a coach, contestant, and even a pageant mom. After being deflected from competing due to her same-sex marriage, LaFaye was determined to make a difference with an organization that aligns with her beliefs and values. The United States of America Pageants are designed to encourage and strive to achieve their hopes, dreams, goals, and aspirations. Their focus is centered around women empowerment, promoting positive self-image, and advocating a platform of community service.
A mother, humanitarian, and an agent of change, Mrs Tennessee is a shining example of the impact a queen should have. From breaking societal norms, to overcoming adversities, we believe LaFaye's story would serve as an inspiration to many through volunteer and guest speaking initiatives.
Please consider LaFaye Noel for any future opportunities or engagements.
