Tanya Holloway

American Red Cross

Tanya bested delegates from across the country on her first attempt at the crown. As Miss Plus America Elite, Holloway uses her title to shed light and bring a new understanding to disaster preparedness. She also strives to uphold the beautiful legacy of the Miss Plus America system by showing that beauty knows no boundaries or limitations. Giving a voice to size inclusivity, she is ready to actively engage in bringing considerable awareness to Body Positivity and what it means to be a part of this organization.

Having Studied emergency management and homeland security at Florida State University, Tanya currently serves as the Disaster workforce engagement management for the American Red Cross’s North Florida Region. The American Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian network with over 13 million volunteers in 187 countries that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education in the United States. Knowing what it's like to have been through an unsparing disaster herself, Tanya heavily advocates for disaster relief by promoting her platform: American Red Cross. Holloway has done over 100 community service initiatives that focus on community preparedness and disaster relief, including traveling to the American Red Cross of Louisiana to speak to the Red Crossers who are working tirelessly to help Louisiana recover from Hurricane Ida. She has spent countless hours giving presentations both in-person & virtually with educational materials, making preparedness kits, and more.

When she is not contributing to the American Red Cross, Tanya is using her powerful voice as a humanitarian to advocate for other community organizations and initiatives, such as the American Cancer Society and COVID vaccine education.
